REUNION 2K5 NEWSLETTER # 2

    If you are planning to attend this year's reunion, you must make your room reservation by 25 August to receive the reduced rate offered by the hotel. The phone number for reservations at the Four Queens is : 1-800-634-6045. Remember to mention that you are with the M-4-12 Marine Reunion.

    Each year, the generosity of the membership is substantiated by the donations of items for the raffle and/or auction. Donated items have represented "something old"to "something new" to "something green" (cash;think Jack MARSTON). Your willingness to support the General Operating Fund, into which all profits are deposited, is greatly appreciated.

    Ted BAHRY has designed and purchased logo hats for 3rd155s and M-4-12 for sale to members. The cost per hat is $ 15, post-paid. Interested members should contact Ted at : PO Box 756, Carlsbad, CA, 92018-0756. Cpl Ted not only paid for the hats, but he has pledged all proceeds from the sales to the General Operating Fund.

    It is my pleasure to announce our scheduled Guest Speaker for Reunion 2K5. He is Colonel Rocky CHAVEZ, USMC (Ret), from Oceanside,CA. Colonel CHAVEZ is a former Commanding Officer of 4th Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment and is an educator and member of the Oceanside City Council.

    Plans are underway for next year's reunion. Tentative dates for the reunion are within the mid-to-late September time frame. Sites being considered are Las Vegas and San Diego.
