Reunion 2009 Newsletter #2 July 2009
Dear 3d 155s/ Mike Btry 4/12, Families and Friends, The final deadline to make your reservation for this year’s reunion is fast approaching. Reservations may be made by individual call-in no later than Monday, August 10, 2009. Please give me a call and let me know that you’ve made your reservation with the hotel so that I can ensure that your reservation is logged into our registry. We have 20 rooms remaining in our reserved block at our group rate of $125/day plus tax for our event. This year we are gathering in San Diego, California. The dates are Wednesday, September 9, 2009 to Sunday, September 13, 2009. We are staying at the: DoubleTree Hotel San Diego-Mission Valley, 7450 Hazard Center Drive San Diego, CA 92108 The hotel group reservation telephone number is 1- (619) 688-4018. The DoubleTree is part of the Hilton Family.Our Group Name is: 3d 155s Mike Btry 4/12. Our Group Code is MB3. The normal room rate is $169/day. The hotel will offer our reduced rate, based on availability, three (3) days before and three (3) days after the above dates. The hotel has also agreed to waive the $14.00/ day self parking fee for all overnight guests. There is an early departure fee if you leave before the dates you reserve. Please inform the hotel at or before check-in of any change in your planned stay. Given the many great things to do in San Diego, we tried to plan events in such a way that everyone has an opportunity to revisit their West Coast friends and family, their favorite areas and still allow for a few Reunion 2009 events that will give us a chance to get together again. Several details still need to be coordinated once we get a better estimate on the total number of attendees. We’ve been in contact with members from 3rd 8” Howitzer Btry and Mike Btry 4/11 asking about our reunion. We hope to see some of them in September.The Reunion 2009 Registration form is attached.
