REUNION 2K4 NEWSLETTER # 4

1 NOVEMBER 2004

REUNION 2K4 was held at the Four Queens Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas from September 20th thru the 23rd.  Activities included a group breakfast, raffle & auction, a barbeque at the Leatherneck Club and the banquet night buffet dinner, which was followed by the piano stylings and vocals by Honey HALL.  The Guest Speaker was Colonel Allan CRUZ, USMCR, who recently returned stateside after completing 17 months "in the Zone" (Kuwait and Iraq).  His comments were informative, inspiring and were well received by all in attendance.  All in all, a great experience in "re-bonding" and just plain having fun!

During the reunion week, a demonstration and preview of our new Website was provided by the Webmaster, Alex JABLONOWSKI, who has single-handedly developed a user-friendly site for all to browse.  The site address is: http://www.3rd155s-mike4-12.org.  Members and the curious are invited to peruse the site, which will be expanded in the months to come.  If you have any comments or suggestions relative to the site, you may make them at the site or contact me at : burntorangejoel@aol.com

REUNION 2K5 : Next year's reunion bash will be held at the Four Queens Hotel and Casino from September 26th thru the 29th.  Additional rooms are available on a first - come, first - served basis for early arrivals on Sunday, September 25th and for late stayers on Thursday, September 29th.  Early and late rooms will be at the group rate of $45.

The 4th ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING was held on Tuesday, September 21st.  Members in attendance voted unanimously to approve a $10 membership fee from all whose names appear on the unit roster.  Proceeds from this annual fee will be used to help defray administrative costs, such as those incurred in the preparation and mailing of the annual newsletters.  Attendees also approved the following: members who do not remit their $10 annual fee will be dropped from the active mailing list and will no longer receive the newsletters.  Effective in 2005, members who have submitted their $10 annual fee by February 15, 2005 will be considered to be "in good standing" and will receive newsletters published in 2005.  Checks should be made payable to : Joel N. SCHUETTE and sent to me at : 1133 Cima Drive, San Marcos, CA., 92078-1307.
