CHANGE TO ROOM RESERVATIONS CODE : The Four Queens has a hotel code which identifies incoming reunion groups and ultimately secures the reduced room rates agreed upon by the hotel and the reunion coordinator. This code must be provided to the hotel reservations clerk when you call to make your room reservation (1-800-634-6045,press 1). Due to an error on my part, I recently provided an incorrect code to members in the 1st Newsletter (CV 0917). THE CORRECT CODE TO USE IS : CV 0915. Please provide this code to the room reservations clerk when you call to make your reservation. Remember, the rooms are $ 49 plus 11% room tax, per night, Sunday through Thursday night. A limited number of rooms are available for Sunday, September 17th for those who wish to come early....and for Thursday, September 21st for those who wish to stay an extra night after the reunion concludes. Also, 5 rooms are available for both Friday and Saturday night (September 15th and 16th) at the reduced rate of $ 89 per night for members of our reunion group.
ROOM RESERVATIONS DEADLINE : The Four Queens has set aside 40 rooms for us for the reunion period of Monday, September 18th through Thursday morning, September 21st.. This block of rooms includes the extra availablity of rooms for early arrivals and late stayers. The reduced rate of $ 49 per night Sunday through Friday morning and for the Friday and Saturday rate of $89 prior to start of the reunion will remain in effect until 30 days prior to the initial date of arrival, which, in our case, due to the availablity of rooms on Friday and Saturday, be the 15th of September.IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND THIS YEAR'S REUNION....AND YOU WISH TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE REDUCED RATES OFFERED TO OUR GROUP........ YOU MUST MAKE YOUR ROOM RESERVATION PRIOR TO MONDAY, AUGUST 15th, 2006. AFTER THAT DATE, THE UNUSED PORTION OF OUR BLOCK OF 40 ROOMS WILL BE OFFERED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND THE REDUCED RATE WILL NO LONGER APPLY. Last year, a certain member waited until 4 days before the reunion to book his room, and the rate was $ 149 instead of $ 45.WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR RESERVATION, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR ONLY THE FIRST NIGHT OF YOUR STAY ON YOUR CREDIT CARD BILL. THE REMAINDER WILL BE PAYABLE UPON YOUR DEPARTURE. IF YOU AREN'T TOTALLY SURE YOU CAN ATTEND, BUT FEEL YOU MAY BE ABLE TO DO SO, I ENCOURAGE YOU TO MAKE A RESERVATION NOW. iF YOU CANNOT ATTEND, YOU NEED ONLY CALL THE HOTEL TO CANCEL 3 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED ARRIVAL. AT THAT TIME, YOUR CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT WILL BE CREDITED FOR YOUR INITIAL CHARGE. EITHER WAY, YOU DON'T LOSE. As of July 4th, I have received favorable responses from 30 members indicating their intent or desire to attend this year's reunion. Counting wives and significant others, that attendance figure would be the largest ever, topping the 28 members and 13 ladies from REUNION 2K4. Why not make a committment and join us this year.........we're not getting any younger, but we are getting better !!!
